1. Trump from Michael_Novakhov (198 sites): Palmer Report: Donald Trump is about to have his new year spoiled

“President” Donald Trump is on a Twitter binge again, and as always, he has redeemed himself as the “Greatest #PropagandistOfTotallyUntrueShite” in the history of our nation. He is blaming Democrats for the deaths in his immigrant camps. He is claiming the investigation by the House shows that the FBI and DOJ are corrupt somehow. As always, he should be cleaning his mouth out with soap, considering the number of foul four letter words (lies) he spews.

On the wall and the two tragic deaths of children, POTUS (see above) tweeted: “Any deaths of children or others at the Border are strictly the fault of the Democrats and their pathetic immigration policies that allow people to make the long trek thinking they can enter our country illegally. They can’t. If we had a Wall, they wouldn’t even try! The two children in question were very sick before they were given over to Border Patrol. The father of the young girl said it was not their fault, he hadn’t given her water in days. Border Patrol needs the Wall and it will all end. They are working so hard & getting so little credit!”

We have seen nothing to verify that the dad said anything of that nature. All we do have is the news that has been reported about her getting sick, and nothing sufficient being done about it. If he is so sure this is correct, then why is Secretary Nielsen on a tour of the camps with absolutely no press allowed? More importantly, a president uttering such vile blame and ignoring reality is dangerous and despicable.

Trump then tweeted that the reason for no wall funding this last year is that the GOP needed ten Democrats, ignoring for the moment that 1) he has still-unspent money that was allocated last year for border security and 2) he had a deal for $25 billion in exchange for Dreamers, and he and Stephen Miller rejected it for their own political reasons, thinking they could extort more.

Earlier in the day, Donald Trump tweeted about the missing texts, which has been debunked, and perhaps he should read the whimper report from Goodlatte and Gowdy, which acknowledges that Hillary Clinton broke no laws, and offers support for the Mueller investigation. Guess we had better buckle up as Trump destroys lives and makes us less strong on the world stage. As he and Mulvaney have indicated, we are in for the “long haul.” For America’s sake, let’s hope Robert Mueller spoils their new year.

1. Trump from Michael_Novakhov (198 sites): Palmer Report: Donald Trump has psychotic meltdown about the immigrant kids he got killed

  •
  •
  •
  •

Donald Trump is a cold blooded murderer. If that wasn’t clear when he began ruthlessly and illegally kidnapping immigrant kids and locking them in cages inside concentration camps, then it should have been clear when those kids predictably started dying and he still kept holding them hostage. But in case there was any remaining doubt that Trump is a sadistic murderer who’s enjoying these deaths, his utterly psychotic meltdown this morning gave it away for all to see.

Here was Donald Trump’s de facto murder confession this morning: “Any deaths of children or others at the Border are strictly the fault of the Democrats and their pathetic immigration policies that allow people to make the long trek thinking they can enter our country illegally. They can’t. If we had a Wall, they wouldn’t even try!” So he’s acknowledging that the children he’s kidnapped are dying needlessly, and are dying as a result of having been taken hostage; he’s simply suggesting it’s someone else’s fault that he’s having to murder these kids.

Trump then made this lie-filled statement, which almost sounds like he knows he’ll eventually have to prepare a legal defense at trial against some type of negligent homicide charge: “The two children in question were very sick before they were given over to Border Patrol. The father of the young girl said it was not their fault, he hadn’t given her water in days.” Again, none of what he’s saying here is true.

Then the sick twisted piece of shit complained – in the same tweet – that his precious Border Patrol agents aren’t getting enough credit for the hard work they’re doing. The bloodthirsty psycho actually said this. His own words today give away his murderous intent when it comes to these kids. There is no justice, no country, no peace, no America, until Donald Trump is behind bars.

Reps. end House probe into FBI, but call for scrutiny to continue

Dec. 29 (UPI) — Two outgoing senior House Republicans Friday called for a continued investigation into the FBI and Justice Department’s handling of the Russia investigation and Hillary Clinton‘s emails while renewing a request for a second independent counsel.
In a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker and the Justice Department’s Inspector General Michael Horowitz, U.S. Reps. Bob Goodlatte and Trey Gowdy encouraged federal law enforcement leaders to “investigate these matters, consistent with your jurisdiction, so the final definitive accounting can be made to the American people.”
While the letter signaled an end to the House investigation into the handling of Clinton’s emails and Donald Trump‘s ties to Russia, Goodlatte, the outgoing chair of the House judiciary committee, and Gowdy, the House oversight committee chair, charged that their work was stymied.
“Regrettably, our joint investigation was impacted by institutional protectionism on the part of the DOJ and FBI,” Goodlatte and Gowdy wrote. “For example, the agencies delayed the production of relevant documents and failed to provide witnesses in a timely manner.
“DOJ continues to refuse to declassify documents necessary to the investigation despite the President’s request [that] the documents be declassified,” the letter continued.
The Democrats take over House leadership in January and have long been critical of the Republicans investigating the FBI. They charged that Republicans were doing the bidding of the president to undermine special counsel Robert Mueller‘s investigation into Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.
“Our Republican colleagues seem intent on spending their final days in power attempting to provide cover to President Trump and attempting to re-litigate the Department of Justice’s decision not to prosecute Secretary Clinton,” Reps. Jerry Nadler and Elijah Cummings said in a statement earlier this month after former FBI Director James Comey‘s testimony to a House committee, CNN reported.
Gowdy and Goodlatte denied their investigation was an attempt to undermine Mueller.
“Quite the opposite, whatever product is produced by the special counsel must be trusted by Americans that requires asking tough but fair questions about investigative techniques both employed and not employed,” the letter said.

1. Trump from Michael_Novakhov (198 sites): Palmer Report: Donald Trump’s wall shutdown continues to cave in on him

  •
  •
  •
  •

When learning of Joan Crawford’s death, Bette Davis famously said, “My mother told me never to speak ill of the dead, only good. Joan Crawford is dead. Good.” The government shutdown continues to hurt Donald Trump politically. Good.

The shutdown will continue at least until January 3rd, when it will be two weeks old, and will become the fourth longest government shutdown in US history. After that it will require only eight more days to become the longest.

Polls indicate that more people by far blame Trump for the shutdown than anyone else. This is only proper, as he insistently demanded he take the blame for it during his Oval Office meeting with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer on the 11th of December.

By any normal calculus of reasoning the shutdown should have ended by now. Trump’s infantile insistence on not giving an inch, and his usual divisive, hate filled rhetoric aimed at the Democrats – reneging on his pledge to hold himself solely responsible for the shutdown – make that unlikely. Mr “Art of the Deal” can’t handle a simple government reboot that requires, well, a little old-fashioned deal making, let alone common sense.

Trump’s intransigence has nothing to do with political courage or an innate belief in his own judgment, and everything to do with playing to his bigoted base. Trump still hasn’t worked it out that the sweaty, monotooth claque of screaming, MAGA hat-wearing glandular cases at his rallies are not the ones who pay the bills. His real base, the ones who matter, the billionaires who make large political donations, are becoming increasingly restless. And the mercenary gang of Congressional Republican thugs understand this.

Trump’s only concession has been to suggest that he would be open to using “steel slats” instead of an actual wall, a compromise that addresses none of the Democrats’ concerns over a border wall. So keep it up Donald Trump. While we have compassion for the people whose lives this idiot is impacting with his fetishistic pursuit of his moronic border wall, sometimes a little pain is required to get rid of a very bad infection.
