1. Trump from Michael_Novakhov (198 sites): Palmer Report: Glitch in Donald Trump’s latest tweet suggests Rudy Giuliani has begun secretly tweeting for him

If you’ve been paying attention to Rudy Giuliani’s tweets in recent weeks, you’ve noticed that he’s been suffering from some kind of weird keyboard glitch involving his space bar. He’s begun putting two spaces between words at random, such as “because as president” and “demonstrates yet again.” He’s also putting spaces before commas, and leaving out spaces after periods. In other words, in addition to his brain being broken, his space bar is also clearly broken. Now Donald Trump is, rather interestingly, suffering from the exact same space bar glitch.

This morning Donald Trump went on a Twitter rant about the Trump-Russia investigation, and sure enough, began accidentally putting two spaces in between words at random. For all of Trump’s various Twitter fails, this historically hasn’t been one of them. But now that Rudy Giuliani’s space bar is malfunctioning, Trump’s space bar is also accidentally typing double spaces? This suggests that Trump’s rant this morning was actually written and posted by Rudy.

When Donald Trump had his surreal “Da Dang Dicks” meltdown yesterday, which read like LSD inspired poetry lifted from a bad horror novel, we wondered if it was really even coming from him. Yes, he’s that far gone mentally. But we’ve never seen any evidence that he’s that imaginative or creative. Now suddenly we have evidence which suggests that Rudy has begun doing at least some of Trump’s tweeting. Did Rudy write the Trump’s “Da Dang” screed as well?

One more thing of note: it’s difficult to accidentally type a double space between words on an iPhone, as it typically gets autocorrected into a period. So the spacing problem in the above tweets is probably a result of typing on a computer keyboard with a jammed space bar. By all accounts, Donald Trump only tweets from his iPhone, and doesn’t even use a computer. This further suggests that Trump’s latest tweets aren’t coming from him. Did Rudy write Trump’s “Da Dang” meltdown in the hope of setting Trump up for an insanity defense?

1. Trump from Michael_Novakhov (198 sites): Palmer Report: Shocker: Fox News says Donald Trump will be indicted

Now that the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York has formally accused Donald Trump of committing two felonies, pundits left and right are debating whether he’ll be impeached and removed over it. In a shocker, Fox News now says it believes Trump will indeed be indicted.

Fox News pundit Andrew McCarthy says that he expects the SDNY to criminally indict Donald Trump on the two felonies in question, which center around Trump’s decision to order Michael Cohen to illegally buy the silence of his mistresses during the election. This comes just days after Fox legal analyst Judge Napolitano said he expects Donald Trump Jr to be indicted, and Fox host Tucker Carlson labeled Donald Trump a failure as president. So what’s going on here?

Fox News is all about ratings, not political ideology. It’s just that its business model is built around using propaganda to con the most gullible of conservatives into staying tuned in. Fox has only been pro-Trump because that’s where the bulk of its viewers have wanted it to be. But if Fox executives believe Trump is about to become so criminally exposed that even its viewers are going to lose hope and give up on him, it would make business sense for Fox to tell its pundits to begin turning against Trump. Last week Palmer Report suggested keeping an eye on this trend at Fox, and sure enough, Andrew McCarthy is escalating it significantly.

The interesting part here is that McCarthy’s legal analysis is largely sound. He acknowledges that there is a DOJ guideline against indicting a sitting president, but he points out – as Palmer Report has many times – that it’s absolutely not a law or even a binding rule. Still he’s not sure if SDNY will seek to indict Trump now, or wait until he’s gone from office.

It’s worth pointing out that the mistress payoffs represent no more than about 5% of the criminal cheating and rigging that Donald Trump did during the election, and no more than about 1% of the overall felony charges he’ll end up facing for a lifetime of crime. So if SDNY indicts him while he’s still in office, it’ll be something of a sideshow – but it could help legally establish that Trump can be indicted by Robert Mueller for his more serious crimes.

1. Trump from Michael_Novakhov (198 sites): Palmer Report: Donald Trump’s new Attorney General nomination is already imploding

Donald Trump announced this week that he was nominating William Barr to be his new Attorney General. It was the extraordinarily rare instance of Trump nominating someone who had the skills and experience necessary to do the job. In fact this guy used to be the Attorney General decades ago. So was Trump finally making a reasonable pick, in some kind of belated attempt at rehabilitating his own corrupt reputation? Predictably, no.

The first sign of trouble was when the media began digging up William Barr’s recent remarks about how Donald Trump should be able to order a criminal investigation into anyone he wants, and Special Counsel Robert Mueller should be required to spend more time investigating people like Hillary Clinton. Nothing works that way, and Barr gave away in the process that he’s obviously not qualified to be Attorney General – or to be out in public without adult supervision. But now the real trouble has surfaced.

It turns out Donald Trump previously tried to hire William Barr to be his criminal defense attorney in the Trump-Russia scandal, according to respected political reporter Michael Isikoff of Yahoo News. It got as far as Trump and Barr meeting to discuss it. So now we know that Trump views Barr as someone who’s willing to try to get him off the hook, and we know that Barr was interested enough in getting Trump off the hook that he was willing to take the meeting.

This proves, without question, that Donald Trump has corrupt intent when it comes to his decision to appoint William Barr as his Attorney General. If this hadn’t come to the surface, Barr would likely have been confirmed automatically by the Republican Senate. But now that the Democrats have a smoking gun which proves Trump is trying to obstruct justice with the Barr nomination, it’s going to become scandalous enough that the GOP Senate may have to tell Trump to find someone else, as opposed to holding what would be excruciating confirmation hearings. Barr has been the nominee for five minutes and it’s already imploding.
