Joe Biden is having a good night. For instance he just picked up the formal endorsement of Cindy McCain, widow of Republican Senator John McCain. Now it turns out the NRA may have unwittingly endorsed Joe Biden tonight, with a bizarre tweet that’s having the opposite effect of what was intended.

The NRA posted this tweet at 4:29pm eastern time: “If Joe Biden wins – Mike Bloomberg wins – and Beto O’Rourke will be knocking on your door for your AR-15.”

Well that’s a pretty stupid tweet. The NRA just told voters everywhere that if they’re a fan of Mike Bloomberg or Beto O’Rourke, they should definitely go vote for Joe Biden. So many people began mocking the NRA over this tweet, the name “Beto” was trending atop Twitter at one point.
