Donald Trump’s rally in Georgia was an incoherent, discombobulated mess. He spent most of the time spinning conspiracy theories about how he secretly won the election, and very little time on the two Republican candidates in the Senate runoffs.
But then Trump blew it. He began lamenting about “what we would have done in the next four years” – a clear reference to the fact that he’s not getting another four years – which is an admission that he lost the election. Oops.
This rally was awful in every sense of the word. It certainly didn’t help the country for the outgoing President of the United States to stand up there and insist that the election was rigged against him. But Trump certainly didn’t help himself with his inane rambling. More importantly, this has to be seen as a loss – or at least as a waste of time – for the Republican Party. Trump just basically told Republican voters that there’s no reason to vote in the runoff races because they’re rigged too.
If you think Trump’s rally tonight was offensive, and that someone ought to do something about it, you can do something about it by donating to Georgia’s Democratic candidates Warnock and Ossoff. Click here.
