Herschel Walker has been an embarrassment of a candidate, mired in scandal after scandal with his own family turning against him as the campaign progressed and revealed he was way in over his head.
Unfortunately, he’s running in a state where the roughly equal number of registered Democrats and Republicans will always make the race close regardless of all the antics Walker pulls on the trail – and Republicans have already made clear that they don’t care about candidates who are the antithesis of their principles so long as it means they gain power.
Fortunately, incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock is already on top of it and hitting back at Walker’s hypocrisy on the campaign trail. After Walker was revealed to have financed yet another abortion from one of his mistresses, Warnock’s campaign immediately condemned his actions – being not just another scandal, but an habitual pattern from a man who lies and continuously misrepresents himself – the same guy we all watched on stage flashing a toy police badge.
Like his other accusations, there’s evidence for this one too – and as Warnock’s campaign manager made clear – he has a problem with the truth and Georgia deserves someone better to represent them. Warnock is that candidate – and deserves to be rewarded with a full term in the Senate. Let’s help him win on Nov 8.
